The growth of homestay in Seribu Island yearly is increasing. Now there are 322 units homestay spread in several islands in two sub-districts.

Other than homestay are remain the same

Head Deputy of Bi Representative, Fadjar Majardi, admitted only homestay number increases, while resort number remains the same by 6 units.

“Other than homestay are remain the same,” he said, Monday (11/14).

Based on the data released by Bank Indonesia, homestay numbers in 2014 were 278 units then it became 322 units in 2015.

Unfortunately, the foreign tourist number visiting Seribu Island is decreasing from 21 thousands in 2014 to 15 thousands in 2015.

Moreover, local tourist numbers in 2013 were 1.4 million, 2014 were 1.3 million, and 2015 were 1.2 million.

He suggested Jakarta Provincial Government to utilize airport as the promotion media.

“Similar way has been applied in Bali,” he added.
